Step beyond the veil of reality and into Halloweenville, a realm where every day is Halloween and the impossible is only a spell away. Hidden away from the human world, this magical village is a sanctuary for all manner of creatures—witches, goblins, ghosts, and ghouls alike. It's a peaceful place where spooky beings live out their days in harmony. But something dark has begun to stir beneath the cobblestone streets and fog-draped houses.

Travel to Halloweenville is rare, only possible during the month of October, and this weekend, you’ve been invited to witness its wonders. With flickering lanterns and eerie charm, it’s a haven of Halloween fun and mystery—until an evil force makes itself known. A strange power has begun to turn the once-joyous residents into something... wicked.

As the hours tick by, it’s up to you to solve the riddles, uncover secrets, and discover the truth behind the village’s new dark presence. Will you be able to stop the evil before midnight strikes and the portal back to the human world closes? Join us for a weekend full of magic, mystery, and mischief—but beware, in Halloweenville, nothing is quite as it seems!

The weekend kicks off with a fall festival right at the center of the Halloweenville town square, complete with games, activities, and tasty treats. But, amidst the fun and festivities, be on the lookout for the evil that lurks in the shadows, casting a dismal darkness across the town. 

Aside from the murder mystery, you will have plenty of downtime to enjoy the amenities Lakewood Lodge has to offer. Think nature hikes, campfires, board games, fishing, and bird watching.

You will receive email updates that detail everything to expect as well as coordinating character assignments. Below is a sample timeline to give you an idea of what to expect throughout the weekend.

THURSDAY

(OPTIONAL) Reserve an additional night to relax in your cabin before all the excitement begins. Add “Thursday Night” at checkout to book another night at a reduced cost and come a bit early to ease into your weekend.

FRIDAY

Check-in at the Lodge and dive into your welcome basket full of goodies that will help you navigate the weekend. After exploring your base camp a bit, head over to the town square to meet some of the other sketchy individuals and enjoy some festivities. The first round of gameplay will take place Friday evening after everyone has had a chance to settle in and continue into Saturday morning. We guarantee you will become fast friends with the people you meet by the end of Friday night. Retire to the peace and quiet at your cabin for the night and enjoy some cozy time around the fire.

SATURDAY

Morning/Afternoon

Enjoy a relaxing morning and sleep as late as you like. The morning and afternoon are yours to do as you please with your cabin mates. This is your time to take advantage of some of the resort amenities, such as boat rental and trail walking. Don't forget to bring your fishing gear! Play yard games, sit by the fire, or hunt for clues (this is a murder mystery after all). A scavenger hunt and an escape room experience will be offered during this time that are both self-paced for your convenience.  

Early evening

You and your team can head back to the town square to meet up with all the other guests for the second round of gameplay. It’s time to piece together everything we’ve learned and interrogate one another for the answers we crave.

SUNDAY

After a wild and enchanting weekend, we’ll all meet up at the town square for the last time to enjoy a hot brunch and discover who the guilty party is.

(OPTIONAL) Add “Sunday Night” at checkout to book another night and stay until Monday, enjoying a bit of peace and quiet after all the shenanigans and before returning to the hustle and bustle of work.
